About

I came to this work sideways, and I think that’s the point. I’m not a lawyer. I’m not a therapist. I have five decades of living, two marriages, and enough careers in public and private service that I’ve stopped listing them all.

I trained in family mediation at York University and am continuing my accreditation with Peel Mediation and Family Services. I’m also a certified peer support worker through Peer Connect BC.

I’ve been on the other side of many hard family transitions, and I’m raising teenagers across two homes. None of that makes me an expert in anyone else’s family. It does mean I’m not guessing about what it feels like.

I am an Associate Member of the Ontario Association of Family Mediators (OAFM) and a Regular Member of the Family Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario (FDRIO). I mediate in accordance with their standards of practice and professional codes of ethics.

As a peer supporter, I work from the Peer Support Core Values and Leadership, and their commitment to Hope and Wellness for All.
